John is a founder and Director of EVANSPETERSEN and has over nine years of experience in the recruitment industry. John’s expertise is most especially in Pharmaceuticals and Biotechnology but has also grown to include recruitment for a range of industries including, Logistics and Supply Chain, Building Industry, Professional Services, Government and IT. Having started his recruitment career in Sydney recruiting sales and marketing professionals, John then moved to open the Adelaide office of this business. Upon returning to his home city of Brisbane John has continued to recruit for the Healthcare sector, specifically in Pharmaceuticals. John is originally an Applied Science graduate from QUT and before working in recruitment held Sales, Sales Training and Management positions in a major multinational manufacturer in the pharmaceutical industry. Gerard is one of the founders and a Director of EVANSPETERSEN. Gerard has eight years experience in the recruitment industry with a particular expertise in executive and legal recruitment. Gerard’s clients include Major National and International law firms, ASX200 companies, large private enterprises as well as Government and Government Owned Corporations. Gerard is regarded as the authority on Queensland in-house legal recruitment having recruited for some of the most senior and high profile positions in Queensland. Prior to joining EVANSPETERSEN Robin previously spent over 15 years working in the Pharmaceutical industry starting as a GP Representative, building her career to be key leader on the Senior Management Team for a leading global biopharmaceutical company. Robin has lived and worked in Management positions in NSW, SA, WA and Qld including a number of roles with national strategic as well as operational responsibilities. Her experience is complemented by an undergraduate Health Science Degree, a Post Graduate Diploma in Management and a Masters of Business and Administration which, coupled with her industry background make Robin a highly credible and effective Consultant. Margaret began her career back in the mid 80’s after completing a Science degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Health Science. Upon graduation she commenced employment at QEII Medical Centre in health research. After travelling and working overseas she returned to Australia and decided on a career change and entered the pharmaceutical industry as a Medical Representative. With success selling to General Practitioners in Perth, she was promoted and relocated to Sydney as a Hospital Specialist representative selling to a diverse range of specialists. A unique prospect then presented as a Recruitment Consultant specialising in Healthcare. In this role she has developed numerous relationships within the pharmaceutical and medical industry and has recently commended a training course, “Hit the Road Running” for candidates seeking to enter the healthcare industry as sales professionals. Mel has over eight years experience in the pharmaceutical industry in South Australia. Mel has worked in a variety of roles within the industry from GP Sales Representative, Hospital Specialist Representative, Training and Sales Management. Mel has worked for both multi-national pharmaceutical companies as well as highly specialized organizations. Warren has over twelve years in the healthcare industry, where he enjoyed a highly successful career holding a broad range of positions including sales, marketing and Sales Management roles. He has experience working with several large Pharmaceutical companies across business areas such as Hospitals, Specialists, General Practitioners, and Pharmacies as well also selling in the highly competitive Medical Devices industry. Warren had previously spent 10 years in the Hospitality industry in Management roles as well successfully owning and operating his own hotel. His experiences in this field contributed greatly to his strong customer service focus as well as providing him with additional insight into understanding the importance of teamwork. Warren also spent time studying both Law and Business before entering the Pharmaceutical industry. Melissa has several years experience in customer service, events management and administration. Laura has a BSc (Hons) in Pharmacology and 4 years experience in Medical Information / Medical Marketing in the Pharmaceutical Industry where she provided technical support and training to internal sales, marketing and medical/clinical colleagues as well as external healthcare customers. This in-depth cross functional understanding and customer focus provided a strong base for her more recent recruitment experience. With over 5 years experience recruiting for the pharmaceutical, medical and healthcare sector in Australia, Laura has worked closely with clients ranging from local start-up biotech companies to large multi-national pharmaceutical companies.
